Co Living Developments London

Whilst there are some  co living developments  starting to appear around London, there are nowhere near enough to house the demand amongst professionals seeking to rent in London and the huge number of students who are soon-to-be graduates that are currently in the capital - nearly 120,000 at present. Having enjoyed a high standard of purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) for the past three years of their studying, graduates expect their next level of accommodation to be just as good and sadly this is not always the case. Co living developments provide the next phase of developments for London’s key infrastructure schemes.  Co living is Ideally suited for young professionals who have moved directly into a work environment or students who have progressed through the education system.

London, the capital city of the UK and recognised as one of the world’s major global cities, is home to nearly 9 million people. It has Europe’s largest amount of higher education institutions and is one of the world’s most visited cities. In 2016, it was even granted the status of ‘megacity’.

The median age of Londoners is 36.5 years compared to a UK median of 40.3 years. Therefore, London has a younger population than the rest of the UK. The city also creates a quarter of the UK’s GDP within its five major business districts, namely Westminster, Canary Wharf, Lambeth and Southwark, Islington and Camden.

Even though London is one of the world’s global financial hubs, it is also one of the world’s most expensive cities for property. In 2015 the world property journal found London’s office space the most expensive in the world. Finance is the largest industry in the city so it is not surprising that there are over 480 overseas banks here, more than anywhere else in the world. It is home to the world’s biggest currency trading centre and 75% of Fortune 500 companies have offices located within the city.  This data clearly shows that more affordable co living accommodation is needed in the area for young professionals and post graduates.

Along with finance, media is also a significant employer within the city. Most major broadcasters have their headquarters in the city, such as the  BBC, ITV and Sky. Fleet Street, the home of the national press, are all located here.

London is home to the highest amount of higher institutes in Europe and arguably the largest concentration of the greatest universities in the world. Therefore London desperately needs to retain the graduates and young professionals that are leaving these fine establishments. University College London, London School of Economics, Kings College London and Imperial College London are the leading centres of research with an outstanding International reputation. The only way to do this is by providing young professional and graduates with co living accommodation that's, safe, stylish, affordable and within commuter belts to the key city locations.

At Kosy Co Living we offer graduates and young professionals in London the opportunity to reside in high quality affordable accommodation that feels like community living called in the sector Co living. Living in the capital can be a very lonely place once you leave the safety of the university HMO or even a Kosy Student development, but at Kosy Co Living we offer our residents the opportunity to reside with like minded people in a development that has all bills included. With co working on the ground floor, we offer community co living and enhanced lifestyle solutions for younger generations.
