Manchester has undergone huge transformation in recent years and has become a popular location for BTR developments. Almost 9,000 build-to-rent apartments have been built since 2018, with another boom set for 2024/25 when the next phase of developments will be complete. 


Greater Manchester has a population of almost 3 million, and its population is growing at two times the average UK growth rate. Population forecasts predict the city centre will grow by a further 10% by 2025. Media City UK is a 200-acre mixed-use site and home to the BBC and ITV studios. There is also careers in financial services, shopping/retail, sales and more. 


The cost of living is much more affordable compared to other cities such as London or further down South, making it an attractive city for graduates to stay in after they complete their degrees, or for professionals to move to due to some excellent job prospects. 


Manchester has become an economic powerhouse and a magnet for property investment. The city has well and truly embraced Built-To-Rent investors and developers, acknowledging the growing requirement for housing in the city and awareness that in order to maintain this economic growth it requires a steady housing supply.
